Rippers: Facebook

compilation

The icons above were all made in Photoshop-CS4. Many times reference images were used. Sketching was done first at 1024 pixels (squared). Then painting commenced. All in all, each one took, on average, three hours to produce. Sketching, pallet picking, painting, rim lighting, color correction, and then size reduction and sharpening; each icon then became 64 pixels (squared). I would be thrilled to do more GUI work in the future.

Rippers is a web-based game hosted on Facebook. If you have a Facebook account head on over to “Rippers” now and have a blast with it.

Star Flight: The Last Colony

While many of us are no longer involved, the project still goes on to this day. More information, and the latest build of the game, can be found at the Starflight Google Group. Below are more images, along with a very early game-play video complied by my good friend Justin Sargent.

Forgotten Isles

Forgotten Isles was to be one of the first projects my buddies and I would embark on in College. We knew we wanted to appeal to a broad audience, and also make a social game. While the goals were lofty, the specs weren’t to be too high, we knew we wanted to be able to play in a browser.

What follows is UI concept work, as well as some character work done early on. Ultimately we realized our education came first and the technology wasn’t there yet. Flash now supports 3D objects. Someday…
